See below for information about supplying your own artwork.
Supplying your own artwork
Many people prefer to create their own artwork these days by using either their own software, or website services such as Canva®. Please download our supplying artwork guide with useful information about designing for commercial print.
Files can be supplied to us by email, via our WeTransfer link, or on your USB device.
You can supply your artwork to us in various formats but our preferred format is PDF. When correctly made these will eliminate many of the problems that can occur. Ideally PDFs should be supplied with 3mm bleed, sufficient margins, all fonts embedded and high-resolution graphics. Trim marks can be included, but other marks and keylines should be omitted.
We can also use graphic files such as .jpg, .png, .tif as long as they are high enough resolution (300-600dpi at the size they will be printed).
If you supply native files such as MS Word (.doc), MS Publisher (.pub), InDesign (.indd), Photoshop (.psd) it is common to get font/graphic issues. We would recommend you save as a pdf if possible.
Some colour variation is inevitable due to the nature of printing. We recommend all images are supplied in cmyk format. If you have exact colour requirements then please talk to us for advice.
Note many formats, including pdf and jpg, may not be easily editable particularly for textual errors. We strongly recommend you check and proof-read your artwork before sending it to us.
For more information about these specifications and other issues please download our supplying artwork and photos pdfs.
If in doubt please send us your artwork so we can advise.
